HQK Entertainment

You have never heard of H.Q.K that's because I have just invented it.
High quality Karaoke, forget the image of the screeching posse of hen party females intent on giving the audience the full version (you will have time for a couple of pints before they finish.) of 'I will always love you' tottering on the stage on ten inch heels and impersonating seagulls taking flight.
The drunken yobs who always do 'New York, New York." on closing time, managing to kick every drink laden table over and finishing the evening with one western saloon style scrap.
No this is a new phenomenon, I think brought about by the popularity of T.V shows 'X-Factor' and
'Britain's got talent' people of all age's are honing their talents to appreciative audiences following in the footsteps of Susan Boyle and Joe McEldrey and the like.
At a recent shows in local pubs (The Osney arms and The Berkshire house Oxford.). the K.J as they prefer to be known introduced a range of singers of all ages with quality renditions of music from film and stage, good old rock'n'roll numbers, some brilliant ballad singers, current chart and even a couple of rapsters.
I believe this entertainment fits well against live music in a pubs program, giving pubs a breath of fresh air in this declining market.
Chris Brown who's road-show style karaoke provides a seamless supply of music, tells me "Disco's used to be his main part of his business, but more people want to participate and try out their talents that they would never dream of performing before."
Social networking sites have more and more pages devoted to karaoke one being The World Karaoke that as the name suggests lists karaoke events from all over the World and gets into detail about songs, singers and new karaoke productions.
H.Q.K you heard here first.
